Description
This course applies GitHub Copilot to Java development in IntelliJ IDEA, using Spring Boot, Quarkus and Jakarta EE examples. It examines AI-assisted project setup, code generation, refactoring, debugging, tests and documentation, with particular attention to the instructions that guide generated code toward a project's conventions.
Reusable prompt artifacts, skill files, instruction files and custom agents support more structured workflows. The syllabus also extends to Copilot CLI, Quarkus APIs, GraalVM native builds and MCP connections to tools such as Jira and Chrome DevTools. Backend, frontend, configuration and persistence tasks are considered within a practical enterprise-Java development process.
Intended audience: Java and Spring developers exploring AI-assisted programming.
